DiJonai Carrington feels disrespected.
Her Connecticut Suns defeated the LA Sparks in front of a sell-out crowd that was not televised. To Carrington this is emblematic of larger issues.
“I feel like Connecticut as a franchise is historically disrespected” she said. The game was the third highest attended WNBA game this season, and the most attended in Suns history. The Suns victory over the Sparks in said game moved them up to 20-7 on the year maintaining their slot in second place in the Easter Conference.
Carrington actually took to twitter herself to promote the game in advance, and it worked by bringing many fans to the livestream.
